About the Event
To mark our first anniversary O is hosting a Foundation Day Lecture: Shakespeare's Sonnets. O's journey
“I have no exposure to theatre or poetry. Poetry is what we did in school.”
A young 22 year-old let slip sometime in January 2021, and there the seed of O was sown. Now, after one year of O, to realise that this wasn’t part of the plan and yet more rewarding than most things that were part of the plan creates a moment of great Hope.
“If chance will have me King, why, chance may crown me/ without my stir.” - Macbeth
When O thinks thus, O certainly is not overcome by the same ambition and desire that Macbeth is. However, it is our aim to revive theatre and poetry in India and to bring it back into the mainstream because we recognise that there is a gaping gap in the domain and there is much for O to do.
